Proud to Finish
I am so proud of what this photo represents.
It is….
good to do something scary that is out of your comfort zone (competing in hyrox was a big challenge for me, hello, understatement);
necessary to seriously prepare because “winging it” is sloppy and won’t get you the results you want (I worked out with other crazies every Saturday at 7:30am at TTL for months);
critical to have support when you are ambitious (we all need scaffolding to achieve our goals, even when we think we do it alone, is that really the case?);
about the grit and resiliency needed to reach the finish line ( ok, a cliche but so true);
not always about winning, sometimes it is just about finishing (I had a slow time, including two penalties because I can’t count laps….BUT I DID IT, I FINISHED);
about celebrating a personal triumph (take a moment to acknowledge and savor it, remember what it took to achieve it and what it feels like….and add that victory to your confidence tool-kit).
